Most MAP_CONVOLVE methods do not result in a well-defined angular
resolution. The only exception if for the GAUSS method applied to
data with an existing beam, and with a minor axis argument that is larger
than the existing beamsize.. In this case GAUSS will smooth the
data to the specified (isotropic) angular resolution.
